At CREDIT SOLUTIONS INDONESIA (hereafter referred to as CSI), we deeply understand that dealing with debt can be a stressful and difficult time. We are committed to collecting debts in a respectful, ethical, and compliant manner. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your personal information throughout the collection process. 

 

Focus on Respectful Communication: 

We will communicate with you regarding your debt in a professional and respectful manner. We will avoid harassing phone calls, unreasonable collection attempts, or threats of legal action unless absolutely necessary and as a last resort. 

 

Transparency in Data Usage: 

We will only collect and use your personal information for legitimate debt collection purposes. We will not share your information with any third parties beyond those necessary to facilitate the collection process or as required by law. 

 

Financial Hardship Acknowledgement: 

We recognize that financial hardship can lead to debt. If you are facing financial difficulty, we encourage you to communicate with us. We may be able to work with you to develop a payment plan that fits your budget. 

 

Commitment to Consumer Rights: 

We are committed to protecting your privacy rights. We will clearly explain your rights regarding access to and correction of your information, and we will provide easy-to-understand opt-out options for communication. 

 

Dispute Resolution with Empathy: 

We understand that mistakes can happen. If you believe there is an error with your debt, we encourage you to contact us immediately. We will investigate your concerns promptly and fairly.

Information We Collect: 


For Consumers in Collection
In order to provide and improve our services, we collect personal information. Most of the information we have is provided to us by the lender/creditor and/or collected directly through the use of our services, emails, website and/or consumer account pages/payment portal reached through a link in an email or text message, and phone calls.


Here are some examples of the types of personal information we may collect about consumers in collection:
 

  • Loan information (account number, original balance, current balance, delinquency status) 

  • Personal identifying information (name, address, phone number, Social Security number) 

  • Credit information (credit score, payment history) 


For Business Contacts
If you sign up for our contact us form or any of our client-directed resources, we collect the information you provide on the forms or during the sign-up process. If we enter into a contract with your organization we collect the information you or your organization provides as one of the contacts for the business. Here are some examples of the types of personal information we may collect about our business contacts:
 

  • If you sign up for a our marketing materials, or any of the forms on our website, we may collect personal information identifiers such as your name, employer, employer issued email, or work address.
     

  • If you visit our website, we may collect internet or other electronic network activity information including, but not limited to Internet Protocol (IP) address, location of use, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), type of computer, operating system, date/time stamp, user interface interaction data, or uniform resource locator (URL) information, and geolocation information and store it in log files, or capture and/or store it with replay software.
     

  • If you become a client or a vendor we may collect personal information identifiers such as your name, employer, employer issued email address, phone number, or work address.

 


Secure Data Transfers:  

When a lender/creditor partner transmits consumer information to us, we will utilize secure data transfer protocols to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information. 

 

Limited Data Request: 

We will only collect the minimum amount of personal information necessary to effectively manage your debt collection case. This may include your name, address, phone number, email address, and information related to the specific debt (account number, original balance, current balance). 

 

Use of Payment Gateways: 

We use a third-party payment gateway to process your debt payments. The payment gateway will collect your payment information (such as credit card number or bank account information). We do not store your full payment information on our servers. 

 

Purpose-Bound Information Usage: 

We will only use your personal information for legitimate debt collection purposes. These purposes include verifying your identity and contact information, communicating with you about your debt and payment options, investigating disputes, and reporting to credit bureaus (if necessary and as a last resort). 

 

Data Minimization: 

We will strive to minimize the amount of time we retain your personal information. Once your debt is resolved, we will securely dispose of your information unless required by law to retain it for a longer period.

Transparency in Data Sharing: 

In some cases, we may be required to share your information with third parties, such as credit reporting agencies or legal representatives. We will only share the minimum amount of information necessary and only with entities with whom we have a contractual agreement to protect your privacy. We will clearly explain these situations in the Privacy Policy. 

 

Communication with Consumers: 

We may communicate with you through various digital channels, such as email, text message, and voice message, to collect your debt. We will only communicate with you at the contact information you provide or that your lender/creditor partner has authorized us to use. 
 

  • Frequency of Communication: We will limit the frequency of our communications with you to a reasonable level and in accordance with our internal rules, applicable laws and regulations. 

  • Do Not Contact: You can opt-out of receiving communications from us by following the instructions included in each communication.

No Sale, No Sharing:
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not allow our vendors to sell this information or to share this information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Data Retention: 

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. 

 

Consumer Control over Information: 

We will provide you with clear and easy-to-use mechanisms to access and correct any inaccuracies in your personal information. We will also respect your right to opt-out of receiving non-essential communications from us. 

 

Security of Payment Information: 

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your payment information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
